Input Junkie- Rotations EP

Input Junkie- has become a good freind on the circuit and we have gigged together several times. For this remix project he has employed the talents of some of the producers on our local scene. I have gigged, hung out and enjoyed the tunes made by these guys, so I am honoured to have a remix featured on this project.

My remix is a cosmic electro version of the tune “Petals”. Gregg@Hermetech was on mastering duties.

Mindfield Compilation on Psychonavigation Records

I first met Keith Downey at the Big Chill in 2009 showcasing Psychonavigation Records. We swapped CDs and I became a fan of the label. I am delighted to be part of this project as the label celebrates 10 years. Featuring the Black Dog and Future Sound of London- I am almost pinching myself in disbelief as these were formative influences for me back in the 90′s. I saw The Black Dog at my first Megadog – an initiation of sorts as I absorbed and became inspired by the electonic acts on that scene.

My track is an ambient version of the track “Ghosts” from the Run Silent Run Deep album. This was the original version of the song. Ironically I almost gave up on this version, but Andy Stone (Soxan) encouraged me to finish it and we used it in our ambient A/V shows. I am very happy it has found a home on this compilation (digital download version).

Two Minds EP

Two Minds

A version of this track appears on the Dialog> album “Music for Imaginary Movies”.
These are the parent versions I did with Alan. They came out sounding good after mastering & I talked Alan into giving them their own release. Enjoy.

Taoyoyo- Jam EP (featuring 2 Dialog> remixes)

Jam EP

http://music.taoyoyo.com/album/jam-ep-retroyoyo3

Final release of the year. 4 studio jam sessions between me & Alan (taoyoyo).
With 2 bonus Dialog> remixes

————————————
The third and (for now) final installment of the retroyoyo series, featuring previously unreleased tracks from Alan Platten (taoyoyo) and Andy Smith (Dialog>).

The first four tracks are live jams, capturing the moment, playing around in different genres (drum and bass, techno and trance inspired).

The two bonus cuts are arranged, final mixes of ‘Ummo’ and ‘Bigger Than One’, completed by Andy at a later date.

Animat: Zeros & Ones EP – featuring Dialog dub remix

zeros and ones
http://animat.bandcamp.com/album/zeroes-and-ones

I recently became aquianted with Animat and contributed an ambient dub style remix for this project. Also featuring remixes from Alucidnation and Input Junkie, who I’m a big fan of.

Taoyoyo- Dark Side of the Fours EP

Dark Side of the Fours

http://music.taoyoyo.com/album/dark-side-of-the-fours-ep-retroyoyo2

The ‘Dark Side of the Fours EP’ is now available as a free download.

Alan’s second release- featuring tracks we co-wrote together in 2003. I had kinda forgotten about these tracks and was pleased to re-discover them when Alan sent me the masters. I had to play out “Let me in” to close the Festinho set.

The second EP in the retroyoyo series features 3 slices of dark abstract tribal techno, the yang to the Jello EP’s yin if you like.

Mastered by Gregg at Hermetech in 2010 for your listening pleasure.
‘Diving For Pearls’ is also featured on his compilation ‘Peppermint Sine Waves V1′, released by Hermetech Mastering (See post below for more details).

We are both very happy with this EP, hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Dialog vs Gel Sol on “Peppermint Sine Waves” compilation

Peppermint Sinewaves

http://hermetechmastering.com/examples.html

‘Peppermint Sine Waves Volume 1‘ is a free downloadable compilation from Hermetech Mastering, featuring Gregg Janman’s pick of the tracks and artists he has mastered this year.

The compilation opens with ‘Diving for Pearls’- a track I co-wrote with Alan, released under his taoyoyo alias.

The Dialog> remix of the Gel-Sol track “Cool Sweet Awesome Yay!” closes the album.
I was pleased with this liquid dub interpretation.

Gel-Sol is well worth checking out and the original track appears on his album “Unifactor” released by Upstairs recordings.

Jello EP

At last its here, the Jello EP is Taoyoyo’s (Alan) debut release.

Featuring tracks we recorded from sessions in 2003. I remixed Hazy and Electrocute a couple of years later and these bonus Dialog> remixes are included in this release. Mastered by Gregg at Hermetech.

There will be some more EP’s made up of tracks from these sessions released soon

Cheeky House to make your feet smile.

Concrete Reboots EP

Concrete Reboots

Part 2 of the 3 EPs by the Beaufort Scale, to celebrate the re-opening of the Concrete bar in Southbank- which has been a much loved meeting point for many of the producers I’ve met over the last few years. To share a project with Echaskech, Input Junkie and Minke makes me very happy. Some damn good mixes on this to (re)boot.

My remix mastered by Hermetech (hermetechmastering.com).
